Thermoelectric Cooling Bath
A solid-state, sub-zero laboratory bath built from four Peltier modules, a 3D-printed body and an Arduino controller — for about $105.

Zeolite Bed Temperature Profile
The heat of water adsorption in a 13X bed, read from a thermal camera and compared pixel by pixel with a 2D axisymmetric adsorption model.

Pressure-fed gaseous-oxygen / Jet A-1 feed system for a 100 N liquid rocket engine, modelled in Simscape before a single fitting was tightened.

Single-Piece Orifice Flowmeter
An 80 Nm³/h orifice meter turned from a single bar of metal on a lathe, designed around ISO 5167-2 and calibrated for the rocket feed system.

Inclined-Manometer Pitot Flowmeter
A low-cost Pitot-tube air flowmeter read on an inclined liquid manometer whose angle is set with 3D-printed wedges, covering about 10–100 Nm³/h.

A shoebox-sized car powered by an aluminium–air battery and stopped by an iodine clock reaction, built with our AIChE student team.
A7 Liquid Rocket Engine
The next step after the B3 feed system: designing a larger liquid-propellant rocket engine and the hardware around it.
TCD Detector
Building a thermal conductivity detector for gas analysis — the classic, robust workhorse of gas chromatography.
Just an engineer
who likes to build.
A chemical engineer working on pilot-scale process systems — high-pressure gas handling, reactor heating and control, flow measurement and laboratory instrumentation. This site is where the builds, the data and the lessons learned are kept.
